Multicultural Day- Ethnic Food, Entertainment, Music & Dress up day...all happening on Thurs., May 10!

If you would like to be on the planning committee for this event, please sign up in student services.  There will be a brief meeting for all interested on Friday at 12:10 in room 114.  There are many ways to get involved!! You can wear ethnic clothing, make food, or provide entertainment!  If you speak more than one language, help with reading morning prayer.   Let's celebrate the diversity of our Holy Cross Community!!  Get involved!  Come to Friday's meeting and learn more!


Integrated CE/PS 20 Class

Students who are wishing to take the Integrated CE/PS 20 class must be registered for CE20I and PS20I.  If changes are required, please speak with a counsellor today.


Makeup and Hair Club

Our wind-up potluck lunch/awards ceremony will be on Mon., April 23 in the Home Ec. lab at noon. There is a sign-up sheet posted on the door of the sewing lab - please sign up by Friday 1pm, so that we can plan accordingly. This lunch is open to all members of the makeup club for both the fall one-act plays and the spring musical.

Europe 2013

A reminder of the Student/Parent Meeting today at 7:00 pm in the cafeteria.  Interested students need to bring 3 things to the meeting:  the Booking Form, the Agreement of Understanding Form, and their first deposit.


Canoe Trip  2012

It's time to begin our preparation for our June trip.  Our first canoe safety session is Monday at Harry Bailey Aquatic Center.  See Mr. Deptuch in room 101 to sign up.

Senior Badminton

Players are reminded to bring their Heart & Stroke forms with contributions to the Brian Walter Memorial Tournament today as well as food or some money to buy food at the Walter Murray cafeteria as we will be playing until 9 pm.  The Badminton Hoodies are here so bring your check to room 103 and pick it up.

Holy Cross Art Awards

Students that applied for the Holy Cross Art Awards are reminded that art portfolios must be submitted by Tues., Apr. 24 no later than 3:30.  Please submit portfolios to Mrs. Remizowski in Student Services.   Portfolios will be returned on Wed., Apr. 25.


Military Open House

Are you looking for an exciting and challenging part-time career where you are well paid?  As a Canadian Forces Army Reservist, you will work part-time from Sept to June.  Over the summer months, you will have the opportunity to work full-time and earn over $3000 per month.  For more information, come to the open house at Sgt Hugh Cairns VC Armoury, 930 Idylwyld Dr. on  May, 15, 2012. 7:00- 7:45PM displays. 8:00-9:00PM presentation.


Bishop Murray Summer School

The courses offered will include ELA A30 and ELA B30, Math A30 and Workplace and Apprenticeship 20.  The Registration Fee will remain at $50.  The tentative dates are July 3 to July 27.  


Greater Saskatoon Catholic School Division Virtual Summer School

Courses will run July-August but you have the luxury to work through the course around your schedule as this is a Virtual School Setting.  This means you can get your credit while you're on holidays, sitting at home or just relaxing at the cottage.  The registration fee is $400.  For more information go online to www.gscs.sk.ca/cyber/summer


Saskatoon Public Schools Program

There are a number of courses being offered through the Saskatoon Public School Division.  Dates: July 3-July 30th.  Location: Evan Hardy.  Fee: $320.  See a counselor in Student Services for Registration Forms.


PSAT: Grades 9, 10 & 11 students

Each year, the PSAT (Preliminary SAT)  helps put millions of students on the path to college, providing SAT® practice, scholarship opportunities, and personalized college and career planning tools.  If you would like to write the practise SAT next October, please sign up in student services.  The fee is $20.  The PSAT is an excellent opportunity for students to not only write a practise SAT, but also to receive feedback on how to improve your scores and exposure to scholarship opportunities.


Young Blood For Life Challenge update

We are at 193 total units and 89 new donors- we surpassed last year's numbers ( 142 units and 68 new donors). Thank you to all those who donated or who recruited donors on their behalf for the young blood for life challenge. Great job!
