SRC Elections

Nominations for Senior Ring, Senior Pin, grade 11 reps (one male and one female) and grade 10 reps (one male and one female) are open until today at noon.  Nomination forms can be picked up and submitted at the main office.  Nominees for Senior Ring and Senior Pin must submit a letter of reference from a non-family adult with their nomination form.

Speeches will take place on Fri., May 11 during pd. 1 & 2; the vote will be conducted by SRC members during pd. 3.


Multicultural Day

Students bringing food for Multicultural day are asked to assemble in the cafeteria Thursday at 11:30 to set up.  Please ensure all food that is served hot is delivered to the school by this time.  SRC Members at Large and Grade Reps are also asked to assemble at 11:30 in the cafeteria.


Graduation 2012

Application forms for Mass, Entertainment, and Banquet duties are now available at the main office.  Graduates who are interested in assisting with the mass, performing between the mass and exercises or delivering a toast/response at the banquet are asked to stop by the main office to pick up an application.  All applications must be received back at the main office no later than 3:30 pm this Friday.


Graduation Banquet Orders

Reminder to grade 12 students that banquet ticket orders are now being accepted.  Tickets are limited to 8 tickets per graduate, this includes the graduate.  If you wish to sit next to a specific person(s) your orders must be submitted together.


Grade 12 Fashion Show

Tickets will be on sale at noon for seats, Mother's day flowers and DVD's across from the cafeteria.  There will be a limited number available.



There will be a yearbook meeting Thursday at noon in the yearbook rooms.  Members, please attend.



YAC meeting to plan for presentation this Thursday at 12:10 in room 356.


Youth Study Group

Youth Study Group will be held today in room 334 from 3:15-5:30.  Tutorial support is offered to all students who wish to attend. Mr. Didjusto will lead this group.


Variety Night 2012

Tonight is the first performance of this year's Variety Night.  Come for an evening of music, singing, dancing, and magic.  Tickets are $6 and are available at noon from the box office or at the door.  Show starts at 7:00 pm doors open at 6:30.  See you all there!


Choir and Band Students

You all must hand in your opera schools tour forms to Ms. Reynolds by 8:30am on Thursday.


Canoe Trip

Remember to bring your forms and deposit ASAP.  Our next meeting is today at 12:10.



The golf team has its first driving range session at Wilson's on Thursday at 4:00.  Please sign up in Room 113 at lunch.


Track and Field

Throws practice Thursday after school and Friday at noon.


Mini meet #2 is today at the Field House and there will be a bus leaving Holy Cross at 3:20pm if you wish! You are responsible for your own ride home. Good Luck. 


Historica Encounters with Canada

Experience the opportunity of a lifetime! Encounters with Canada is a weeklong seminar held at the Terry Fox Canadian Youth Centre in Ottawa. This onceinalifetime opportunity for youth ages 14 17. Visits the House of Commons, the Senate, national museums; partake in the region's vibrant cultural scene, as well as recreational and creative activities. Applications are available at http://www.ewcrdc.ca. Registration fees include lodging, all meals, most planned activities, and transportation--all for only $675 per participant.


Summer Youth Internship Program

Hey grade 11 and 12! Looking for a summer job and considering pursuing a career in the trades or information technology after high school? This program starts July 9, 2012 and ends August 17, 2012.  Apply today in student services. Deadline is Friday May 11th. 

Graduation Powwow - May 30

The University of Saskatchewan Graduation Powwow honours graduating Aboriginal students from the U of S and from high schools across the province. Students of all ages are welcome to attend the powwow. Please register in Student Services. Grade 12 graduates who are registered can participate in the 11 a.m. grand entry and will be recognized in the Graduation Powwow program. For more information or to register online, visit students.usask.ca/current/aboriginal/powwow.
