Looking for Volunteer hours?  The College of Kinesiology runs the PAAL camp (Physical Activity for Active Living) each summer.  This camp lets children, teens and adults who are visually, cognitively or hearing impaired experience outdoor summer activities.  Volunteers help campers with swimming, golf, soccer and other activities.    The camp runs from August 19-23.  Please see Student Services for more information.

Every Friday until the end of the year will be Hat Day Friday.  Pay a dollar and wear your hat.  

POPCORN SALES every Thursday in front of the Theatre at noon.  Bring your loonie.

Youth Study Group - Every Monday after school until 5:30 p.m. in Room 109; Come for help in all subjects.

      SOCIAL JUSTICE MEETING - Wednesday in Room 211 at 12:30. 

 The June book order is in.  There are 50 items that are $9.99 or less.  It is on the door of room 110.

 Track and Field practices will be held on Monday's, Tuesday's and Thursday's at the back of the school at 12:30.

      SMOKING - Smoking is ONLY PERMITTED in the Designated Smoking Area at the back of the school, behind the fence.  Any student found smoking on school property will have their name submitted to the Saskatoon Police Service who will issue a Bylaw Ticket for $125.00.

Smoke butts are being found in the outdoor play area of the daycare. Please note that children are playing outside and should have a clean area!!

      Any students interested in participating in a summer basketball camp, please see Mr. Kawa in the gym for a brochure.  YAS (Young Athlete Saskatchewan) summer basketball camps.  There is also a chance for a free hoodie when you register.  See Mr. Kawa for more details.

Aboriginal Scholarship for Nursing -If you are a grade 12 student planning to enter a nursing program in the fall, the Dahl Nursing Education Fund Award may be just right for you.  Come to Student Services or room 106 for details and eligibility.  Deadline: June 15.

1.        Choose and register for courses

Great 12 Aboriginal Students:  If you are heading to the U of S in the fall, there are learning communities in place for you.  A Learning Community is a group of first year students who take a common set of courses together and meet weekly with successful upper year students (Peer Mentors).  To register, contact asao@arts.usask.ca

Aboriginal Student Summer Work Experience:  The Saskatoon Public Library is offering part-time summer positions to four students.   This aboriginal program is open to any high school student who has successfully completed grade 9.  The job runs from July 2^nd to August 15^th on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.  For more details and applications, please come to Student Services.

You must be available to attend May 27 & 28 and June 3 & 4 at E.D. Feehan--training takes 16 hours total, and supper will be provided.   WHMIS training is available, too, on Wednesday, June 5, from 3:45 -7:45pm. A sign-up sheet for both courses is in room 106. If you have questions, please call Ian Worme, Aboriginal Achievement Facilitator, at 306-280-1714.

What will Aboriginal Youth Consultants (AYC) Do?

The Saskatoon Urban Aboriginal Strategy Steering Committee is looking for Aboriginal Youth Consultants; young Aboriginal volunteers aged 18 to 24, who are interested to provide advice and recommendations to the Saskatoon Urban Aboriginal Strategy Steering Committee on youth priorities and projects in the community affecting Aboriginal youth. All Aboriginal Youth Consultants will receive training and gifts for your time.
