ACADEMIC PROGRAMS: GRADES 9, 10, 11, 12 - 24 CREDITS
Academic Program Grade 9
Grade 9 students do not follow the quarter system and remain with their core teachers throughout the school year. They do not earn credits but rather get a passing grade % when work is completed.
Academic Programs Grade 10, 11, 12
New to Oskayak High School this year is the taking of classes through the Quarter system. Students will take 2 classes per day and each class is 2 hours in length. There are 4 quarters in the school year. Students will get their core or compulsory credits that they need but may be limited in what elective credits are available.

GRADUATION CRITERION
24 Credit Program - To participate in graduation activities, a student must have a minimum of 24 credits by the end of the school year.
ATTENDANCE
"Students must attend a minimum of 80% in each of their 2 classes."
1. If a student has 5 Absences in a class they .... must meet with the teacher to make up the missed time.
2. If a student has 10 Absences in a class they.... must meet with Administration to discuss implications, and a plan of action.
3. If a student has 15 Absences in a class they ... may not receive credit for that class. Students will then have to meet with Administration to determine if they are to stay in that class for the remainder of the term.
Students who have a high absenteeism in their 2 classes may be taken off roll and placed in another program.
LATES: A student is considered late if they miss 15 minutes of class time. After 15 minutes the student is considered absent but is still required to go to class.
*Student notes must reflect that due process has been done.
