Unique to Oskāyak High School is the opportunity for students to learn with either a laptop, tablet and by utilizing the many media resources.
On any given day, students can be seen working in the media lab on video editing, creating digital music or images, working with DSLR cameras, P2 Video cameras and green screens, midi keyboards, 3D printing or scanning, or producing works on the laser engraver. Students also have access to a large format printer capable of printing on such media as photo paper, canvas, vinyl or high gloss paper. Teachers take full advantage of the smart board, digital projector and sound field in each classroom in instructing students.
The approach to technology at Osāyak is one of permeation. Rather than designating one room as a traditional "computer lab", technology is placed and accessible throughout the building where ever and whenever it is needed. Students have access to over 150 Dell and Mac laptops or 120 iPads which they can sign out and use throughout the day with existing WiFi internet.
Below are video demonstrations and product demos of some of the technology available to Osāyak students.
